At Uptec, we are committed to playing our part in addressing climate change and have set a goal to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035. This pledge reflects our dedication to reducing our environmental impact and contributing to a sustainable future.

To achieve this, we will focus on reducing emissions across our operations, with particular emphasis on:

Scope 1 Emissions

We will minimise direct emissions from sources we own or control, such as:

• Reducing reliance on fossil fuels in any company-owned vehicles by transitioning to electric or hybrid alternatives.
• Implementing energy-efficient technologies in our facilities to reduce emissions from heating, cooling, and other operational systems.
• Minimising unnecessary air travel and where not possible, offsetting these journeys.

Scope 2 Emissions

We will address indirect emissions from the energy we purchase and use, including:

• Transitioning to 100% renewable energy sources for all our office locations and operations by 2030.
• Optimising energy efficiency in our facilities and digital infrastructure to reduce electricity demand.
• Engaging with energy providers to prioritise sourcing from clean energy grids.

Our Broader Approach

We are also committed to:

• Working with suppliers and partners to encourage sustainable practices and reduce emissions in our supply chains.
• Continuing to educate and engage our employees to embed sustainability into our day-to-day operations.
